WHO WE SEE
Sound Start Speech Pathology provides assessment and therapy services for children with speech sound disorders (difficulty saying sounds and words correctly, unclear speech, substituting or swapping sounds in words, difficulty being understood by others). This includes children with:
Severely unintelligible speech
Articulation difficulties
Phonological disorders
Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
Childhood Dysarthria
Velopharyngeal Incompetence (VPI)
Speech difficulties related to cleft palate
Speech difficulties related to orofacial myofunctional difficulties
Speech sound disorders associated with genetic conditions, paediatric stroke, TBI etc.
